VADER Involved In Bus Crash, Band Escape Unharmed

According to a posting on their web site, Polish death metallers VADER were involved in a bus crash while on tour in Germany. "On the way to Falkenstein, near Leipzig VADER's new tour bus was involved in a car accident!" the band write. "The bus has been seriously smashed but fortunately its occupants managed to escape unharmed. The band was forced to spend a few hours at local police station and due to that the gig in Falkenstein has been cancelled. We would like to apologize [to] all the fans and organizers for the absence at the show. It really didn't depend on us! Now we are waiting for a new car because the police has kept the broken one and hope that everything will go smoothly. Hope to visit you in the near future!"

VADER's new album, "The Beast" (view cover here),is scheduled for release on September 20 through Metal Blade Records. The album's first single — featuring the track "Beware The Beast" and another new song, a report from the studio and a video — will be released on August 31 with the 4/2004 issue of Thrash 'em All magazine. A limited–edition version of the album will contain a bonus DVD including a report from the studio, a video clip recorded during the session, and "a fragment of one of the most important gigs in 2003," according to a posting on the band's web site. "The Beast" was recorded at Radio Gdansk Studio with producer Piotr Lukaszewski ("Reign Forever World", "Revelations", "Blood") and was mixed while the band were away on the first part of their European tour. Jacek Wisniewski was responsible for the album artwork and other graphics. The mastering session took place on July 1.
